Disturbing information regarding the possible cause of Crohn's disease
This is a rather disturbing article I found online regarding a possible cause of Crohn's disease. To be brief it works like this. Factory farms are filled with sick cows. Sick cows contaminate the milk. Pastuerization doesn't kill the bacteria, and then people get sick. The article goes into much more detail and includes conspiracy theories regarding the Milk industry and government regulators. I don't know about the rest of you but after the past four years the idea that the government might be lying to us seems more plausible than ever.
In any event check out the article and make up your own mind.

Got Milk?

Agnes,
Good to hear from you. I hope you had a good stay in NC. I agree with you about the article. It definitely was an "extreme" point of view. I found the article to be interesting because it stimulated thought. I mean how often do we stop to consider where the food at the grocery store comes from or what happens to it before it ends up on the shelf. I think we often take it for granted that the milk at the grocery store is safe. This is only reinforced by the advertising we see (Milk, it does a body good?) It is a paradox of sorts that most of us won't hesitate to put milk in our coffee, but if we had to milk the cow ourselves we might decide to do without the cream. So while I agree that the article jumps to conclusions regarding the dangers of milk, I think it is a good thing for us to sit back and reflect a bit about what it is we are putting into our bodies.
